Fujairah’s story of oil in a video book

0 217

Wednesday September 21 was a big day for the Port of Fujairah with the inauguration of its new Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) jetty.

The only one of its kind on the UAE east coast, this jetty can accommodate vessels exceeding 340 metres length with a dead weight of 300,000 tonnes.

The inauguration attended by the Ruler of Fujairah, HH Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, and dignitaries featured a documentary produced by Moviemedia for the Port on its evolution from a multipurpose port to being a significant partner in developing Fujairah as an important oil trading and logistics hub of the region. What makes it noteworthy is that this Emirate does not produce a drop of oil!

Guests were presented with a video book in which the documentary was embedded.
